I offer translations from English to German and from German to English. Website and software localisation is also available.

I specialise in technical translations with a focus on robotics, automation, automotive, manufacturing and engineering industries.

I am also available for specialised texts from other fields of technology and science, medicine/healthcare, IT & computers, beauty, fashion, marketing and business, as well as general translations.

 

File Formats

Source text can be submitted as hard copy by post or electronically by email in the following file formats: *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt, *.pdf, *.xml, *.html, *.odt, *.ods, *.odp (please note that a surcharge may apply for certain file formats). Other file formats on request.

 

Special Software

I use Across software as a translation memory and terminology system. This enables me to build up and work with customer- or project-specific glossaries, ensuring consistent use of terminology and faster processing of long texts. Of course, I can connect to your Across Language Server to receive tasks.

For software localisation projects I use SDL Passolo 2009 Translator Edition.

 

Rates

My rates are competitive and depend on degree of specialisation, text type, file format and other aspects. Please ask for a quote or estimate.

Rates are charged in GBP or EUR per word of the source text, to ensure cost transparency. On request, rates can be calculated per German standard line (55 keystrokes incl. spaces).

 

Payment

I accept the following methods of payment: bank transfer, PayPal or Moneybookers.

My work is covered by a professional indemnity insurance.
